Hair transplantation is the process of taking the donor hair follicles on
the head with the help of technological devices and implanting them in the open
area on the head, that is, the area to be transplanted. Hair transplantation
techniques are changing and developing with the development of technology day
by day.
The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method is one of the techniques that
has become popular recently with technological developments. Hair
transplantation with FUE technology has been used by experts since 2005 and is
still the most frequently used method today.
With the development of technology, special sapphire-tipped tools have been
used for grooving in hair transplantation with the FUE method, and this FUE
method is called FUE hair transplantation with a Sapphire Tip. Smaller channels
can be opened by using sapphire-tipped tools instead of metal tipped tools,
which accelerates the healing process. This is not a technique but an
innovation for the FUE technique. In our clinic, the FUE technique is applied
with a sapphire tip.
No incision is made in the FUE method. The hair follicles to be
transplanted are quickly removed one by one with a specially developed device
and transferred to the bald area. Hair transplantation with the FUE method both
facilitates the work of specialists and accelerates the hair transplantation
treatment process.
Each hair follicle to be taken for the hair transplant area is called a
graft. In the FUE technique, the devices used to take the grafts from the donor
area have special tips that make round incisions with a diameter of 0.7 and 0.8
mm. With these tips, hair follicles are taken one by one from the donor area.
Roots collected in smooth and very small canals with sapphire-tipped devices
are placed one by one. It is very important to place the roots at the right
angle for a natural look. The number of grafts to be taken and thus planted may
vary according to the opening of the area to be transplanted and of course the
frequency of the donor area. This is determined by our doctor during the
patient examination at the first meeting.
Local anesthesia is applied to patients during hair transplantation with
the FUE method. During the hair transplant operation, no pain or ache is felt
during the procedures. During hair transplantation with the FUE method, all
patients are conscious and can follow the hair transplantation operations.
In hair transplantation procedures performed with the FUE technique, there
are no obvious scars in the treated areas. Therefore, hair transplantation with
the FUE method is known as the only operation that does not leave any traces.
Small balding areas or sometimes light-colored scars may appear only in the
area where the hair was removed. After the treatment process, these scars do
not appear again with the growth of the hair.
